Bitter but sweet

Assalamu’alaikum !

It’s not always easy to tell the truth – especially to a close friend. For most people I know, it’s not easy at all. Perhaps, some would rather jump into a river swarming with crocodiles than be truthful to a partner. “Cos you know that what you have to say will at the least, scratch his heart, if not break it. And you can’t take the chance of doing both. At times, it hurts you more than it hurts him. So, what do you do then? I say, follow your heart. The Prophet teaches us:

“Spill out the truth, even if it’s bitter”.

By doing so, believe me, it may seem bitter at first. But the fruit that it bears, may have an everlasting taste of sweetness! Salam…
